Is Rehaunted on PS5 or Xbox? Rehaunted Platforms and Release Date

Not today. The Rehaunted store page lists one platform, Windows. There is no PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo Switch version, and the developer has not announced one: none of Cauchemar's eight posts on Steam, from the pre-launch post on 2026-09-12 to UPDATE 06 on 2026-09-17, mentions the PS5, Xbox or any console. We read all eight again on 2026-09-23 at 14:29 UTC.

The developer's website says it is under construction and lists only a contact email, so it has no platform news either. We follow the official Steam posts and will add any announcement about Rehaunted platforms here, with its date. Until then, treat a Rehaunted PS5 or Xbox release date you see elsewhere as unconfirmed.

An Xbox controller is not an Xbox version

A search for Rehaunted on Xbox can turn up talk of Xbox controllers. That is about playing the PC game with an Xbox pad, which the controller section below covers, not about a console release.

• Release date: 2026-09-14, on Steam. The launch post went up at 15:56 UTC.
• Platform: Windows, 64-bit Windows 11 in the system requirements.
• Developer and publisher: Cauchemar.
• Price: $7.99. The launch post announced a 10% launch discount, and on 2026-09-23 the US store still showed $7.19.
• Languages: 11, with full audio in English only.

So there is one Rehaunted release date, the PC one. Two days before it, the pre-launch post said the game had passed Steam's build review; the launch post thanked players for nearly 100,000 wishlists.

Mac and Linux

The store does not list macOS or Linux among the Rehaunted platforms. On Linux and SteamOS, Windows games on Steam run through Proton, the compatibility layer built into Steam; that is how players run it on the Steam Deck, below.

The developer's pre-launch post, on 2026-09-12, says Rehaunted is fully playable from beginning to end on Steam Deck. On Medium and High settings it runs at about 30 to 40 FPS and stays above 30, and Low settings go higher, with FSR or Intel XeSS and Frame Generation turned on. The developer adds that they play on Steam Deck themselves.

Steam's own Steam Deck compatibility review, which we read on 2026-09-23, rates Rehaunted Unsupported. The one check it lists is graphics performance. The review carries no date, so we cannot tell whether it came before or after the optimization work the posts describe.

Both statements are official, so both are here, and we have not tested the game on a Deck. One Rehaunted player on Steam Deck reports that the -dx11 launch option stopped a crash when the entity catches them; that report, and one where it made things worse, are on the known issues page.

The store lists full controller support for Rehaunted and names DualShock and DualSense controllers. It does not name Xbox controllers.

In the Steam discussions, one player found the game playable with an Xbox controller but not well, and suggested mouse and keyboard instead. We have not tried it.

• Minimum: 64-bit Windows 11, Intel Core i5-8400 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600, 16 GB of RAM, a GTX 1070 Ti with 6 GB of video memory, DirectX 11 and 12 GB of storage.
• Recommended: an Intel Core i7-6700K or AMD Ryzen 5 3600, 16 GB of RAM, an RTX 3070 with 8 GB of video memory and DirectX 12.

The pre-launch post says the game was optimized to run on as little as 6 GB of video memory and supports DLSS, FSR and Intel XeSS. The store and the same post put the length at 2 to 3 hours.
